I grew up in a small town near Portland Oregon where my parents still live. During High school I discovered a love for the performing arts and I could often be found in the music hall rehearsing for a band, choir or a theatre performance. In 2005 I graduated high school and made the scary and exciting move to Rexburg Idaho, where I attended Brigham Young University-Idaho. During my time at BYU-Idaho I continued to study theatre Arts as well as education and eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. Immediately following college I student taught in Salt Lake City, Utah.
For five summers I worked in West Yellowstone Montana as the production manager for the Playmill theatre! During my time at the Playmill theatre I learned many valuable leadership skills and how to work with people from many walks of life. I created many happy memories at the theatre, however I am also excited to continue in the path of education and teaching. Previously at Voyage Academy I have had the privilege of working in special education where I worked with small groups of students in Language Arts and Math. I look forward to getting to know your students better and having fun while learning!
