Amy LeFevre has been joyfully, teaching young children for 22 years. She taught in the Melba S. Lehner Children’s school at Weber State University for 14 years. There she trained and evaluated early childhood teachers, developed curriculum and assessment tools. Recently, she has been teaching Kindergarten in the Weber County School District for 8 years. She is a co-author of two activity books, “Sand and Water Play” and “Literacy Play” published by Gryphon House. These books were written as a resource for teachers of young children. She has presented workshops around the country for NAEYC (National Association for Educating Young Children). Amy has a strong philosophy that children learn best by experiential, meaningful, hands on methods. She has a passion for guiding children to discover and problem solve using intentional, creative activities where children work together as a collaborative, caring community.
